J at School Policies
Payments are charged in 10 equal installments. Payments are due on the 1st of the month for the current month and can be paid with post dated checks or auto charge on a credit card. Cash payments will only be accepted in person at a JCC office. The first month’s payment is due at the time of registration as deposit for the program. Full tuition is due by June 1, 2020. Written notice must be given 30 days prior to cancellation. Participants are responsible for the entire 30 days if less than 30 days notice is given.
All registrations must be up to date and current for a student to participate in J at School programming. J at School cannot accept a child that is not registered for the program on date of attendance.
Any special needs or accommodations, medical information (including medications) must be submitted in writing at the time of registration.
If J at school determines that we cannot serve the student’s needs, J at School reserves the right to discontinue services. In such a circumstance, any unused portion of the service fees paid will be refunded. J at School reserves the right to cancel enrollment of an individual for reasons including but not limited to the following; non-payment of fees: not observing the rules of J at School outlined in the Code of Conduct; if a participant has special needs that cannot be met by J at School staff or program structure; physical or verbal abuse of staff or students.
JCC Chicago Policies
For your convenience, JCC Chicago (JCC) accepts cash, checks, American Express, Visa, MasterCard, Discover, and electronic bank draft. Registrations are not complete until program fees or deposits are made. Prior to processing registration for any JCC activity, accounts are reviewed for outstanding balances. Registration cannot be processed until past-due balances are reconciled.
Fees for classes and programs must be paid in full 30 days prior to the start of the class/program or at the time of registration whichever is later. If you register after the program start date, payment is due in full at time of registration. Payment plans are available for long-term programming such as J at School.
Cancellation and Refunds
Short term program fees are non-transferable and non-refundable within 24 hours of program start date. Refunds or credits are not given for illness, vacation or temporary childcare arrangements. JCC reserves the right to cancel a program due to insufficient enrollment. If JCC cancels a program, a full refund will be issued. If a program or class is canceled, JCC will either institute a make-up session or issue credit. JCC reserves the right to substitute qualified staff, whenever necessary, to ensure the class or program’s success. Refunds are not granted for staff changes.
There are no refunds given for any days of student non-attendance (i.e., illness, absences from school days, school closures or school holidays).
For long-term programming such as J at School, refunds will be given with 30 day written notice prior to program start date. All program fees will be withheld if cancelation occurs within 30 days of program start date. Any credits on an account are non-transferrable.
Changes may be subject to a $25 processing fee.
If you are awaiting a refund, please do not dispute the charge with your card holder. Payments that are disputed in error will incur a $50 fee assessed on your account.
All payment plans require an automatic scheduled payment by credit card or bank draft. You may pay your balance with any form of payment prior to the scheduled payment date.
Fee assistance consideration is available for J at School to families demonstrating need. All requests for fee assistance are on a first come, first served basis and are handled confidentially. Standard program fees apply until scholarship award has been confirmed.
All returned checks, bank drafts, and credit cards will incur a $20 fee assessed on your account.
Fees can be prorated for participant absence from a scheduled program with doctor’s written orders provided to the JCC. JCC will provide a prorated program credit for the remainder of the program. If a participant wishes to continue a class after a hiatus described above, they may receive a prorated credit for the time missed.
Long term programming prorates per the week.
When space is available, some classes and programs may be prorated for late starts. Please contact Customer Solutions to determine whether a proration is possible.
Code of Conduct
JCC offers a friendly and comfortable environment for all. Inappropriate language and/or conduct will not be tolerated. We reserve the right to remove from the premises any individual acting in an inappropriate manner and further reserve the right to cancel the membership of any such individual.
JCC reserves the right to cancel the enrollment of an individual for reasons not limited to the following: not observing the rules as outlined on our website, in the waiver; if a child has special needs that cannot adequately be met with current staffing; physical or verbal abuse of staff or children by adult or child; or non-payment of fees.

What Information We Collect and How We Use That Information
Our registration forms require users to give us contact information that may include name, e-mail address, format preference (HTML vs. text), address, interests, and similar information.
JCC Chicago does not and will not sell, trade or share a donor’s personal information with any other agency or entity. This policy applies to all information received by JCC Chicago, both online and offline, on any Platform (“Platform”, includes the JCC Chicago website and mobile applications), as well as any electronic, written, or oral communications. All donors are listed in our annual report unless anonymity is requested.
Internet Protocol Address
We collect an IP address from all visitors to our site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. IP addresses are not linked to personally identifiable information.
Use of “Cookies”
Information from the cookies is used to gauge page popularity, analyze traffic patterns on our site and guide development of other improvements to our site. JCC Chicago never gives away information about our users. If you choose to e-mail us and provide personally identifiable information about yourself, JCC Chicago will use this information only to respond to your inquiry. JCC Chicago will not sell, rent or otherwise disclose that information to third parties unless such disclosure is necessary for the purposes set forth in this Policy, by law or a policy or notice contained or associated with a specific JCC Chicago product or service.
JCC Chicago may use analytics data and the DoubleClick cookie to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to our website. Site visitors may opt out of the DoubleClick cookie by visiting the Google advertising opt-out page or they may opt out of Google Analytics by visiting the Google Analytics opt-out page.

All information provided to Jewish Community Centers of Chicago is transmitted using SSL (Secure Socket Layer) encryption. SSL is a proven coding system that lets your browser automatically encrypt, or scramble, data before you send it to us. We also protect account information by placing it on a secure portion of our site that is accessible only by certain qualified employees of Jewish Community Centers of Chicago. Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure or warrant the security of such information.

These photographs are for JCC Chicago publications, flyers, publicity efforts, brochures, web use, other electronic communications or video usage. All photos and videos are for JCC Chicago use and become the sole property of JCC Chicago. Please contact the Program Director for photographic exclusions.
Emergency Closure Policy
In the event of an emergency closure due to weather or other unforeseen causes, updates will be available on our website(s) at jatschool.org and jccchicago.org. Refunds will not be given for weather related or other closings that are out of our control.
Insurance and Medical Information
JCC does not provide medical insurance coverage for accidents or injuries that occur while attending or participating in any activity at, or sponsored by, JCC. Some programs require that the JCC maintains participant medical information and treatment authorization forms on file. We respect the privacy of our participants and maintain confidentiality.
